Canon PIXMA MG6250 Driver Download
Canon PIXMA MG6250 Driver Download. Canon has simplified the look of the latest all-in-one product line, and the PIXMA MG6250 looks bold yet elegant. It has most of Canon’s features, including duplex printing, direct CD / DVD printing, and twin paper sources, while still maintaining more esoteric bends, such as gray cartridges to enhance black and white photos. Aforementioned is another significant, shiny, black, and thanks to the touch panel cover; this fingerprint is faster than the CSI scene. A sizeable 3in LCD panel folds from the center of the lid, and one center switch turns on and off. The other is the touch button, including three soft keys, which link to an on-screen option.
Among these are Eco mode, where you can specify which tasks become standard for duplex printing and whereby long the machine rests before suspending itself. There is also a Silent mode, which reduces the noise generated by the printer, by slowing down its printing and paper feed.
Canon has introduced its cloud printing, though this will not be available in the UK until the end of November. It offers prints from Canon’s image gateway and Google Picasa, although it’s unclear whether it will require the printer to have its IP address.
The front panel cover will be folded down to provide an output tray and paper can be inserted from the front, a 150-sheet cassette or a rear plate with the same capacity. Canon recommends printing photos only from the shelf. The internal cover is folded down to provide access to the CD / DVD carrier, which is designed for printing or copying direct discs.
To the right of the output, a tray is a three-slot memory card reader, which includes support for CompactFlash cards, and a dual PictBridge socket for USB drives. The connections on the back offer USB links and 10/100 Ethernet and the printer also supports wireless connection with WPS settings.
It is a six-ink machine, with black and mid-gray photos added to the standard CMYK set. Gray conditions are primarily intended to enhance lighter tones in black and white images. All cartridges are engraved into one, semi-permanent head and include LED inset from Canon, to indicate when the round is out of ink.
Support software all comes from Canon and includes multifunctional applications as well as the Pro and EX versions of Easy-PhotoPrint.
Canon rated the PIXMA MG6250 faster than the model under the range and quoted 12.5ppm for black print and 9,3ppm for color. We did not see enough of this speed, with our five-page black text print yielding 7.9ppm, even though the 20-page document increased this to 9.0ppm. Interestingly, choosing a quick copy, Canon’s equivalent design, does not increase speed.
The duplex prints are also slightly faster than usual, with 3.5 sided results per minute on our 10-page, 20-sided document. The graphic text and black color give 4.1ppm. All this speed is very respectable for sub-150 printers. A4 copies only take photos of 17 and 15 x 10 cm size made from 33 to 54 years of age, depending on the print quality selected.
Canon consistently produces some of the best inkjet prints we’ve seen. There are very few artifacts, such as furry text or head-pass leaps, which make some others look amateurish and, even in fast mode, the text is good enough for most uses. Duplex prints look lighter than single-sided pages, which we suspect is because the machine uses quicker and dye-based photo inks when printing two-sided.
Color printing on plain paper is as bright and dense as you will see and although the color copy fades slightly, the result is still the best. Aforementioned extends to photo prints, which provide plenty of detail and excellent color reproduction of natural and bright artificial colors.
There is only one set of cartridges ready for this device, although the pigmented black used for text printing is available in binary packages, which work out cheaper. Using this and searching for the lowest internet price gives a cost per page of 3.8p for black pages and 11.0p for color.
The cost is fair, with the additional cost of black and gray ink. The value of color is a cent or more above some of its competitors, but you should balance this with better grayscale performance.
